Sustainability Controller (m/f/d)

  • You are reporting to Finance / Controlling
  • Your area of responsibility includes overseeing and managing the financial and accounting aspects of Silesia’s sustainability initiatives
  • You assess the financial impact of the Sustainability and CSRD program
  • (Where relevant) – You develop and implement financial strategies to support Silesia’s sustainability initiatives / projects
  • Integrating sustainability efforts into the organization’s overall financial strategy
  • Monitoring the financial resilience whilst facing sustainability challenges
  • Governing the on-time and preferably automated collection of agreed upon data points (in collaboration with the accountable owners)
  • Consolidation of the data for the necessary internal and external reports
  • You look after the financial materiality assessments
  • You support target settings (mainly related to financial materiality; all targets to be approved and released by the Focus Group Sustainability)
  • You are reporting back to the Corporate Sustainability Manager all challenges, deviations as well achievements
Your profile
  • You completed a degree in Business Administration, ideally with a focus on sustainability
  • You have a deep understanding of finance, including budgeting, cost analysis, and financial evaluation of sustainability projects
  • You are familiar with CSRD, ESRS and related rules and regulations
  • Previous experience of 3 ore more years in controlling or related fields is a prerequisite, a focus on sustainability-related activities is considered advantageous
  • You have proven the ability to plan, coordinate, and implement sustainability projects effectively 
  • You enjoy working effectively within a team and thrive in supporting other departments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial for preparing reports and interacting with various stakeholders
  • Capability to support in building sustainability reports, including gathering relevant data, structuring reports, and ensuring compliance with reporting
  • You have the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data to derive informed recommendations
  • Strong Excel skills are required, and familiarity with Lucanet is preferred
